Five original songs, ten Malaysian musicians, and a nationwide tour that ended in one room in Kuala Lumpur. That was the shape of Jameson Distilled Sounds Malaysia, the most collaborative edition the series had run in the country to date.
For the first time in Malaysia, Jameson commissioned five brand-new tracks, each co-written and performed by a pair of local artists, then sent them out to debut live across the country from 8 May before a closing showcase on 13 June 2026.

Collaborations with Original Malaysian Artists
The premise was simple: put two artists who would not usually share a bill in a studio together, then hear what they made. The results ranged across R&B, indie-pop, neo-soul, and dark-pop, and each one headlined its own tour stop before the whole cast reunited for the finale.
Sweetside, by Mister Two Five and Murty
Genre-bending rapper Mister Two Five and soulful R&B singer Murty opened with a smooth, upbeat number that moved between indie-pop and hip-hop, setting laid-back rap verses against Murty’s melodic vocals.
Silk, by Laura Munan and Zekke
Laura Munan, known for her warm R&B and soul sound, and Zekke glided through a slow R&B track built on soft vocals and stripped-back production. The pace eased off as both voices held close and steady for an intimate feel.
Fall Away, by Lang and Jaie
Light and catchy, this one brought indie-pop energy that stayed bright throughout. Lang, known for his fun and bouncy sound, and electronic pop vocalist Jaie leaned into an easy, melodic groove carried by hooks that felt natural and light.
Never Quite Like You, by Su San and Jeantonic
Cinematic dark-pop artist Su San and Jeantonic, known for her C-pop influences, brought contrasting styles to a pop track with a subtle dance edge. Their voices worked off each other for a bounce that kept the song easy to listen to.
Think Too Much, by Jo Lixian and Q Sound
Groovy and laid-back, this track blended chill R&B with jazz, carried by warm horns and a smooth flow. Neo-soul vocalist Jo Lixian paired with Q Sound, principal trombonist of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, for something relaxed but full of movement.
Saint Kylo Led the Home Line-Up
Leading on home ground was Saint Kylo, the Malaysian artist who represented the country at Jameson Distilled Sounds in Ireland in 2025. There he worked with Dublin’s Skinner, a multi-instrumentalist and post-punk revival singer-songwriter, writing and recording under the mentorship of Anderson .Paak.
Saint Kylo brought that experience full circle in 2026. He hosted a digital series featuring all five collaborating pairs, available on the Jameson Distilled Sounds Malaysia website from 28 April, with performances and interviews that went into the studio sessions, the creative tensions, and the stories behind each track. It built towards his headline set at the final show.
Full Tour Schedule
Each stop featured a lead artist and a special guest, with select shows also featuring the lead artist and their collaborator performing their original track.
Every show came with signature Jameson Ginger and Lime cocktails and a room of people who came for the music.

Jameson Distilled Sounds Wrapped
On 13 June 2026, the tour came home to Voxlive KL for Jameson Distilled Sounds Wrapped. All five lead artists, Mister Two Five, Laura Munan, Su San, Lang, and Jo Lixian, took turns with headline sets before reuniting for a closing performance together. Saint Kylo headlined alongside them to close out the night.
The finale brought the commissioned tracks to life on one bill. Mister Two Five performed Sweetside with Murty, Laura Munan teamed up with Zekke for Silk, Lang and Jaie delivered Fall Away, and Su San joined Jeantonic for Never Quite Like You. Jo Lixian closed out the collaborative sets with Think Too Much, with Mister Two Five stepping in for Q Sound on the live version.
How to Attend Future Editions
The 2026 finale was open to all, with a cover charge of RM120 nett including one drink. Priority Ticket registrations opened on 1 May, with General Admission from 16 May.
What Priority Tickets Included
Jameson Distilled Sounds Priority Tickets came through participating outlets, including the five tour venues and selected supermarkets and hypermarkets nationwide. Each one carried a limited-edition Jameson Wrapped cassette and player, a complimentary Jameson Ginger and Lime, a Distilled Sounds tote bag, and a priority access lane on the night.
To claim one, buyers picked up any two bottles from the Jameson family (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Jameson Black Barrel, or Jameson Stout Edition) at a participating outlet, then uploaded the receipt through the registration link.
What Is Jameson Distilled Sounds
Jameson Distilled Sounds is both a global music series and a local event run under one name, built to connect musicians across genres and borders, from Kuala Lumpur to Cork.
It launched in 2024 to support emerging talent by giving artists space to collaborate and be heard. The 2026 Malaysian edition brought together ten local artists across five original collaborations.
