Hiking Trails
KL Forest Eco Park features three trails for visitors to explore: Jelutong Trail, Arboretum Trail, and Penarahan Trail. Each trail offers a different experience, from stunning views of the open lawn and gazebos on the Jelutong Trail to the authentic jungle experience on the Arboretum Trail.
Jelutong Trail
The Jelutong Trail is located at the intersection of the other two trails and is the easiest of the three. It features concrete paving stones with rainforest leaf images and their respective species names lining the walkways, making it a popular spot for families and picnics. The trail offers stunning views of the open lawn and gazebos, making it a great spot for taking photos or simply relaxing.
Arboretum Trail
The Arboretum Trail offers a more authentic jungle experience, with lush greenery and an abundance of wildlife. It is easier to hike on than a raw jungle, making it a great option for beginners. As you walk through the trail, you can hear the sound of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind. It's a peaceful and serene environment that will make you forget you're in the middle of a bustling city.
Penarahan Trail
The Penarahan Trail is the most challenging of the three, but it offers the most spectacular views. As you hike through the trail, you may catch a glimpse of the iconic KL Tower through the openings in the rainforest canopy. It's a great spot for taking photos and admiring the beauty of the city from a different perspective.

Hiking Tips
Before embarking on your hiking adventure, it's important to be prepared. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your experience:
- Wear the proper clothes and shoes. Opt for comfortable, functional clothing and sturdy shoes that will provide good traction and support. The rainforest can be slippery, so it's important to have shoes that will prevent you from slipping.
- Pack light. Bring only the essentials, such as a whistle, torchlight, insect repellent spray, and a travel-sized first aid kit. You don't want to be weighed down by unnecessary items, so pack only what you need.
- Bring enough water. Staying hydrated is crucial, so make sure to bring enough water to last you throughout the hike. The humidity in the rainforest can be high, so you'll need to drink more water than you would on a typical hike.
- Know your limits. Don't push yourself too hard, and take breaks when needed. The rainforest can be challenging, so it's important to listen to your body and take breaks when you need to.
